SEATED BESIDE THE PAINTING

A 48 by 60 canvas from March 2021: a woman in a crown of red and white roses, her eyes painted red from crying until they bled, on black and gray with white drips. Willie told her story when he shared the painting on March 24, 2021.

This painting depicts a story about a woman who is close to 30 years of age or older. Her life goal was to get married and have kids by a certain age. Pain and turmoil was all that she experienced from previous relationships. She eventually promised herself that the next man she dates will be obligated to marry her and give her children before she reaches her ideal age.

When she began to reveal so much of her baggage to her new boyfriend, he left. She soon realizes she couldn't see her goals being achieved anytime soon. This is due to her crying about her past until she bled from her eyes.
