ORIGIN STORY

THE origination of the “SIDELINE JACKET” occurred during Willie Austin II senior high school football career at the playoffs. The coach recommended that the players that were not expected to get playing time on the field should layer up under their pads to stay warm. Since this was Willie’s first year of playing football and he knew he lacked the experience, he layered himself up with a jacket underneath his pads while on the sideline during that playoff game.
